The City of Barrie needed to replace an aging culvert in close proximity to older buildings with challenging soil conditions. The soil conditions consisted of deep layers of soft clays and silts beneath a layer of organic material, with a high water table.

Chance Helical Piles were chosen for the project based on several reasons: installation not affected by high water table, no vibrations or spoils during installation and the most cost effective solution compared to traditional deep foundation technologies.
