An expansion was planned for the Mattagami Waste Water Treatment Plant. Due to soft soil conditions, the proposed structures were designed to be supported on driven piles 40 metres to bedrock. EBS designed an economical alternative using helical piles and anchors to support the following structures: a secondary treatment facility, two raw sewage storage tanks and three service tunnels.

Compression Load: 715kN (160 kips)
Depth: 20 metres
