DRILLING CREW MEMBER

Reports To: Foreman (FM), or Lead Hand (LH)
Position Status: Full Time
Experience Level(s): Intermediate

POSITION SUMMARY

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Drive and operate track-mounted drilling rigs and other equipment to drill foundation micropiles for commercial, industrial and agricultural properties.
  • Enforce and abide by health and safety regulations
  • Document on pile records the encountered depths and locations.
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rigs and equipment.
  • Supervise and operate the drill while conducting the job.
  • Interact with and follow directions from geologists, engineers, consultants, landholders, and others involved in drilling projects.
  • Accurately read and comprehend construction drawings and locates
  • Ongoing communication with fellow crew members re: safety concerns, job planning and instruction are understood by all

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Perform physical labour in all sorts of weather, wearing protective equipment.
  • Lift and handle heavy materials/tooling associated with the job.
  • Some noise and vibration may require the use of earplugs and other safety devices.
  • The number of working hours depends on the completion dates, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • The hours may be long, irregular and may require working out of town for extended periods of time due to job requirement

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years work experience in the trade
  • Graduate from Fleming drill program (or similar) an asset
  • Down the hole hammer experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work in a team and on own
  • Experience with Colloidal Grout Mixer
  • Willing to travel
  • Valid G Class Drivers License
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset (Grout Plant, Skid Steer, Zoom Boom and Excavator)
  • Willingness to continually learn and take on different roles and responsibilities as required
  • Welding skills an asset

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

 We are looking for our next talented individual to join us as our Warehouse Coordinator. This role is an integral part of our Field Operations and the success of our business.
You understand the importance of organization, communication and have a "do what it takes" attitude.
You will be responsible for inventory, consumables, warehouse organization and organizing pick-ups and drop-offs of materials tools and equipment.
Some responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Accurate reporting of project inventory, maintaining a supply of field consumable items and maintenance requirements for equipment and tools.
Organizing materials, equipment and tools while ensuring the yard and warehouse are tidy, accessible, and organized.
Receiving and inspecting returned vehicles, tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working order and restocking returned materials. This includes fueling equipment, vehicles and organizing the fleet repairs.
Data entry for inventory, consumables, and related project/warehouse requirements, being computer savvy is essential. You are comfortable with Excel, Word and Outlook.
You can work well under pressure when required, you are a self-starter who can work with changing priorities and little supervision.
You have demonstrated experience with material ordering, inventory, shipping / receiving and consider your computer abilities to be above average.
You have an excellent driving record, (having a current forklift license is a bonus) as you can be tasked with anything from an in-town / out of town project delivery, moving equipment in the yard and warehouse to picking up safety supplies and assisting with basic to moderate maintenance support projects as needed.
You are safety conscious and are responsible for ensuring that you and others adhere to safety requirements.

TOOL CRIB / PARTS SPECIALIST

Parts and Inventory Specialist with experience in parts and service relative to heavy equipment, parts and inventory management and warehouse duties.

Previous experience managing a warehouse/technicians for parts is essential. Computer experience and related business applications a must.

Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse.

  • Ability to manage inventory, including auditing, forecasting and planning.
  • Implementing & maintaining safety initiatives.
  • Operates forklift and related heavy equipment in yard and shop in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Knowledge of logistics (carriers, shipping policies & procedures)
  • Interact with other departments within the company.
  • Work on the floor picking orders, load and unload trucks throughout the day of orders
  • Accurately pick products based on part number and quantities on assigned pick lists.
  • Work in an organized fashion and eye to detail. Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner insuring that all OSHA and other company safety policies are adhered to.
  • Review and ensure that all work processes are completed and performed properly including daily receipt of all stock, report of damage, short, or overage on shipments, on-time shipment of double-checked orders, and completed delivery of routed material to customer satisfaction.
  • Review the warehouse records system and maintain accurate inventory by monitoring the cycle count process, and returns procedures.
  • Review warehouse supplies on a timely basis to ensure the supplies on-hand will meet the demands of the operation and field requirements.
  • Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport; schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
  • Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing; respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC 

EBS Geostructural Inc. has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years experience. We are a design-build deep foundation contractor located in Breslau, ON working throughout Ontario and beyond. Our facility is fast-paced requiring an individual with significant knowledge, experience, and energy.

You possess a strong knowledge of welding, fabricating, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, bearings, and electrical troubleshooting. Being able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy equipment and related construction machinery, including repairing and replacing defective parts and performing scheduled maintenance is essential.

You have supervisory experience, knowledge in computers, understand time management and can communicate effectively with all levels of staff. You bring, a team player attitude, a willingness to learn, a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving abstract.

The Role:

Check and inspect equipment for proper performance

Service equipment such as excavators, drill rigs/power packs, generators and other heavy construction/mining equipment for defects and malfunctions.

Troubleshoot problems in the shop and in the field

Diagnose to determine the extent of repair required

Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems

Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications

Manage parts and inventory ordering.

What you bring:

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of construction and mining experience

Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills in both the shop and the field

A valid driver's license with a relatively clean driver's abstract.
