The Marketing Manager is responsible for the general operation of the Marketing Department (brand development, marketing budget, website, external and internal communications, social media, seminars). Managing and executing strategies, measuring performance, and growing the brand through different avenues. Candidate must be a strong writer and editor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of Marketing Plan (goals and campaigns to execute within a year)
  • Responsible for the development and execution of marketing campaigns
  • Establish and track annual corporate marketing budget

Website Management:

  • Creation and execution of content for different pages, weekly blog updates, project gallery updates, biographies for team members, etc.
  • Previous experience using content management systems
  • Knowledgeable in Google Analytics, SEO and SEM
  • AdWords experience is a bonus

Brand Development:

  • DRIP Campaigns and Corporate Newsletter – establishing focus of a campaign, creating content, liaising with external partners, measuring performance
  • E-mail Campaigns – Implementing email campaigns and measuring performance
  • Tradeshows – Manage registrations and materials


  • Perform job site visits to source content through photos and video
    • Video and photo editing required
  • Organization of Engineering Seminars – finances, registration, marketing campaigns, presentations for speakers, communications with registrants
  • Internal Communication – Development of internal corporate newsletter
  • Social Media Management
    • LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Blog
    • Writing for different channels
    • Measuring and analyzing social media metrics
  • Develop executive level presentations for Lunch & Learns

Proficient In:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Photoshop

    • Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro)

Position Status: Full Time

  • Drive and operate track-mounted drilling rigs and other equipment to drill foundation micropiles for commercial, industrial and agricultural properties.
  • Enforce and abide by health and safety regulations
  • Document on pile records the encountered depths and locations.
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rigs and equipment.
  • Supervise and operate the drill while conducting the job.
  • Interact with and follow directions from geologists, engineers, consultants, landholders and others involved in drilling projects.
  • Accurately read and comprehend construction drawings and locates
  • Ongoing communication with fellow crew members re: safety concerns, job planning and instruction are understood by all


  • Perform physical labour in all sorts of weather, wearing protective equipment.
  • Lift and handle heavy materials/tooling associated with the job.
  • Some noise and vibration may require the use of earplugs and other safety devices.
  • The number of working hours depends on the completion dates, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • The hours may be long, irregular and may require working out of town for extended periods of time due to job requirement


  • 3-5 years work experience in the trade
  • Graduate from Fleming drill program (or similar) an asset
  • Down the hole hammer experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work in a team and on own
  • Experience with Colloidal Grout Mixer
  • Willing to travel
  • Valid G Class Drivers License
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset (Grout Plant, Skid Steer, Zoom Boom and Excavator)
  • Willingness to continually learn and take on different roles and responsibilities as required
  • Welding skills an asset
