CURRENT OPENINGS

Warehouse / Maintenance Associate

Reports To: Operations Manager
Position Status: Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:
Maintain all daily aspects of the EBS shop and inventory. Perform and assist with basic to moderate maintenance projects.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Oversee inventory of all materials (working closely with Project Coordinator).
  • Maintain shop and yard organization and cleanliness.
  • Rearrange processes and layout of shop and yard to improve efficiency as needed.
  • Assist with preventative and demand maintenance of equipment, vehicles and tools (working closely with Maintenance Manager).
  • Oversee quarterly material inventory counts and continuous inventory balancing.
  • Support field crews with tools, equipment and materials as needed.

SKILLS:

  • Self-driven individual with creative skills.
  • Material ordering, inventory and organization a must.
  • Some mechanical repair skills required.
  • Organized, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure, with little supervision and with constantly changing tasks.

EDUCATION:

  • High school with some post-secondary education or training (mechanical or warehouse or inventory).

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Ensure that the material and shop are tidy and organized at all times to maintain a safe environment.
  • Ensure that PPE inventory is kept so that everyone has access to needed safety supplies.
  • Ensure that PPEs are used in the shop environment.
  • Ensure that only ticketed and/or trained personnel use equipment and that company policies are adhered to. (ie spotters required when vehicle is backing up)

DRILLING CREW MEMBER

Reports To: Foreman (FM), or Lead Hand (LH)
Position Status: Full Time
Experience Level(s): Intermediate

POSITION SUMMARY

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Drive and operate track-mounted drilling rigs and other equipment to drill foundation micropiles for commercial, industrial and agricultural properties.
  • Enforce and abide by health and safety regulations
  • Document on pile records the encountered depths and locations.
  • Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on drilling rigs and equipment.
  • Supervise and operate the drill while conducting the job.
  • Interact with and follow directions from geologists, engineers, consultants, landholders and others involved in drilling projects.
  • Accurately read and comprehend construction drawings and locates
  • Ongoing communication with fellow crew members re: safety concerns, job planning and instruction are understood by all

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Perform physical labour in all sorts of weather, wearing protective equipment.
  • Lift and handle heavy materials/tooling associated with the job.
  • Some noise and vibration may require the use of earplugs and other safety devices.
  • The number of working hours depends on the completion dates, minimum 40 hours per week.
  • The hours may be long, irregular and may require working out of town for extended periods of time due to job requirement

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years work experience in the trade
  • Graduate from Fleming drill program (or similar) an asset
  • Down the hole hammer experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to work in a team and on own
  • Experience with Colloidal Grout Mixer
  • Willing to travel
  • Valid G Class Drivers License
  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset (Grout Plant, Skid Steer, Zoom Boom and Excavator)
  • Willingness to continually learn and take on different roles and responsibilities as required
  • Welding skills an asset
