Kelso Shoreline Trail

Milton, Ontario

The Halton Conservation Authority planned to build a wheelchair accessible walkway and boardwalk along Kelso Lake Shoreline. Low impact Chance Helical Piles were chosen to support the structure because of the low impact installation (no spoils or vibrations) in this environmentally sensitive area and to accommodate variable lake water levels.

 Compression Load: 98kN (22 kips)
Tension Load: 45kN (10 kips)
Depth: 2 to 23 metres
Total Number of Helical Piles: 138
